Gerad Hardy serves as an Assistant Professor of Management at the Millsaps College Else School of Management, where his academic endeavors are enriched by over 25 years of leadership and business strategy development. Gerad's career began in the hospitality sector, where he excelled in various operational leadership positions across Iowa, New York, Missouri, and Mississippi. Transitioning to academia, he sought to leverage his vast experience for the benefit of others, stating that teaching and assisting others have always been integral to his identity and aspirations. This led him to his current role at Millsaps College, where he not only teaches but also consults on business and leadership, aiding in developing current and future business leaders.
 
Hardy's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from SUNY Empire State College and an M.B.A. from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Furthering his education, he has participated in the Mississippi Economic Council's Leadership Mississippi program, earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University, and is pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Dallas. Beyond his professional and academic life, Hardy has a passion for classic cars and fitness, having worked as a CrossFit instructor. He is actively involved in his community through the First United Methodist Church in Clinton and has served with various local non-profit and professional associations, including roles as chairman of the Mississippi Gaming and Hospitality Association and president of the Clinton Ms. Chamber of Commerce. Gerad shares his life with his wife, Jill, of 18 years and their three children, Jackson, Alex, and Emily.
